Your response to the digipic challenge has been overwhelming. We love all the pictures - the soulful, the celebratory, the quirky and the weird.
It's a wonderful reflection of the diversity and freshness of our country's creative spirit.
But because we have to choose a winner, we have been forced to impose certain criteria to make judging possible.
We have, with much in-fighting and sharp disagreements, managed to come up with a shortlist of ten which we believe exhibit South African ingenuity, style, entrepeneurship and that elusive spirit of the place.
